Discover a bold new dimension of rye whiskey with Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Rye. This innovative release takes the distillery's acclaimed Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey—crafted with a pre-prohibition style 53% rye mashbill—and subjects it to the famed "Double Oaked" maturation process. After fully aging in traditional new charred white oak barrels, the rye is transferred into a second, custom-crafted barrel that has been heavily toasted and lightly charred. This unique secondary finish extracts incredible depths of soft, sweet oak character that perfectly mellows the rye's natural peppery spice.
Bottled at Woodford Reserve's signature 90.4 proof (45.2% ABV), this Barrel Finish Select expression delivers an uncommonly rich and velvety tasting experience. It beautifully balances the herbal, spicy notes of traditional rye with the decadent, dessert-like sweetness of toasted oak, making it a spectacular neat sipper and a luxurious foundation for premium whiskey cocktails.
