The Doba-Yes, which means Espadín in the ancient Zapotec language, is a well-balanced Mezcal perfect for enjoying neat or in cocktails. It is the first copper-still distillate made outside of Sola de Vega.
Doba-Yej has an extremely fruity nose of fresh grapefruit, roasted lemons, basil, and violets with subtle rubber and tar-like phenolics adding depth. The palate matches the nose with rose water, pineapple, asphalt, and fresh cut grass clippings that lead to a long spicy finish of chipotle peppers.
