Camp Nelson D is the fifth annual release in Russell's Reserve's Single Rickhouse Collection, a series built on a simple idea: each rickhouse has its own climate, and that climate shapes the whiskey. This 2026 edition is the first ever drawn from Rickhouse D at Wild Turkey's Camp Nelson property, a warehouse built in 1946 that stands alone on the exposed western edge of the site, taller than any rickhouse used in the collection before, with strong, steady airflow the series had never explored.
Master Distiller Eddie Russell hand-selected barrels from floors one, three, four, five and six, more floors than any previous Single Rickhouse release, including the first floor the team normally skips. The result is the most distinctive bottling in the series: bold rye spice, cinnamon and pepper that, tasted blind, Eddie says you would bet was a rye. Bottled at a barrel proof of 120.8 (60.4% ABV) and non-chill filtered, it also marks Eddie's 45th year at Wild Turkey, and Camp Nelson D is the very first rickhouse he worked in when he started.
Tasting Notes

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Single Rickhouse Collection?
It is Russell's Reserve's annual limited release series, with each edition drawn entirely from one rickhouse to show how that warehouse's climate and position shape the bourbon. Camp Nelson D is the fifth release.
What makes Camp Nelson D different?
Built in 1946, it stands alone on the exposed western side of the Camp Nelson property and is taller than any rickhouse used before in the series. Barrels were pulled from five floors, including the first floor, which the team normally skips, giving this release its unusually spicy, rye-like character.
What proof is it?
Camp Nelson D is bottled at barrel proof, 120.8 proof (60.4% ABV), and is non-chill filtered.
What does it taste like?
Expect baked apple, baking spices and vanilla on the nose, cinnamon, clove, stone fruit and rye bread on the palate, and a finish of rye spice, pepper, cinnamon and spicy oak.
Is this a limited release?
Yes. Single Rickhouse releases come out once a year in limited quantities and are highly allocated, so availability is very limited.
