Jefferson's Reserve 8 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Mature Bourbon Whiskey Exhibiting Rich and Complex Flavor, 96 Proof
Jefferson's Reserve is the flagship expression of Jefferson's Bourbon, the brand founded in 1997 by Trey Zoeller and his father, Chet. For the first time, Jefferson's Reserve carries an 8 year age statement: the youngest whiskey in the blend has matured for at least eight years in American oak. To reach it, master blender Ale Ochoa went back through the brand's older, more mature barrels.
The bourbon has also been raised to 96 proof (48% ABV), and it arrives in Jefferson's refreshed bottle design, with a deep burgundy label and cap, a gold monogram and the Jefferson portrait. The result is a rich, layered Kentucky Straight Bourbon that works equally well neat, over ice or in a classic cocktail.
Tasting Notes
Dark fruit and vanilla custard up front, followed by baking spice, oak and toasted almond, with a long, spicy finish.
