This Kentucky Straight Wheated Bourbon is truly "Grain to Glass." It begins with a specific corn seed varietal,Beck's 6225, grown locally by Peterson Farms. This corn is milled and distilled at the Bernheim Distillery into a unique, high-wheat mashbill of 52% Corn, 35% Wheat, and 13% Malted Barley.
Distilled in 2018 and released in 2025, the true magic of this "Specialty Barrel" release comes from its maturation. The bourbon was aged for over six years in rare Chinquapin oak barrels. This specific oak imparts a richer, sweeter, and nuttier profile than traditional white oak, perfectly complementing the soft, sweet notes of the high-wheat mashbill.
Bottled non-chill filtered and at a barrel proof of 105 (52.5% ABV), this is a full-flavored, complex, and beautifully balanced wheated bourbon.
