This is not Heaven Hill's standard rye. This 2025 release is crafted from a high-rye mashbill of 63% Rye, 24% Corn, and 13% Malted Barley. The specific corn varietal,Beck's 6225, was chosen for its unique attributes and grown locally, making this a true expression of Kentucky terroir.
Aged for over six years in Heaven Hill's Cox's Creek rickhouses, this whiskey is non-chill filtered and bottled at a barrel proof of 105.2 (52.6% ABV). This lower proof (compared to the 2024 release) results in a more subdued, fruit-forward, and nuanced rye, allowing the complex grain character to shine through.
