This is a true "Grain to Glass" product. It begins with a specific corn seed varietal, Beck's 6225, which was hand-selected and grown locally by the family-owned Peterson Farms in Nelson County. This unique corn is milled and distilled at the Bernheim Distillery into a high-wheat mashbill of 52% Corn, 35% Wheat, and 13% Malted Barley.
Distilled in 2018 and aged for over six years in Heaven Hill's Cox's Creek rickhouses, this wheated bourbon is non-chill filtered and bottled at a barrel proof of 106.6 (53.3% ABV). This proof point allows the soft, sweet character of the wheat to shine while delivering a full-bodied, complex flavor profile.
